Mancat Monday

The mancats have been enjoying themselves and being a little bit naughty!
Harrison stole this package of treats from the pantry.  Thankfully, the boys didn't eat them all before I found the bag!

What is Flynn looking at so intently?

Ah, Mr Rabbit is in the yard...do you see him?  He is close to the window...

Oliver spent some time on Saturday loving on the vacuum cleaner...he is a nut!

Flynn loves to be under this mat...he is a goof.

Harrison and Rusty are doing well even though they don't have a photo this week.

Rusty will be going to the vet on Thursday to have his nose looked at.  There are two dark places on it, that I figure are scratches, or bruises, but they have been there for a few weeks now.  Since his visit will be free because of his care plan, might as well have it checked!

Mancat Monday

The boys have enjoyed their week.  Lots of play time, and a cat nip party on Sunday.
One of the local rescue groups was having a fundraiser through Etsy, so we bought a few toys.  Harrison loves catnip toys, but I have to watch him because he likes to chew them up.  These toys are crocheted, so I don't want him eating long pieces of string, so I watch while they play, and then put them in a drawer when I'm not around.

Cousins Pirate and George.

Pirate will be 16 on Thursday.  He is on quite a bit of medicine for his arthritis and stiff back/leg.  He also goes to laser therapy once a week for his hip and knee.
Flynn loves this box from IKEA.  It isn't necessarily meant for cats, but what can you do?
Rusty and the panthers still love this wool and yak fur mat...

Our catnip party...The fresh nip has taken off in the garden!  Auntie had to move some to another location because it is growing like mad.  We are going to start attracting the strays before long!

That's our week and weekend in a nut shell.  Lots of fun all around.

Mancat Monday

 Lots of photos in this weeks post.  I missed last week because I was in New Orleans for a work conference.  While that wouldn't necessarily be my first choice for a destination city, we all had a nice time and enjoyed a lot of delicious food!
Harrison enjoying a new cube style bed.  I put away Santa's Toy Shop and the Cafe, so replaced it with something else they could get in and hide.

Flynn, Harrison and Cousin George look like they are up to something...the size difference between Flynn and Harrison is evident here.  Flynn is about 6 pounds heavier than Harry.

Oliver helped me change the sheets...

Then we took a selfie...

Rusty, and all the boys, love this brown paper.  It's been in the floor for a few weeks now, and migrates around the downstairs.  Tonight, it is going in the recycling!

Rusty loves nothing more than to be washed by Oliver.  Oliver will oblige at times, but then can get a little rough with him.  Here's a sweet video of them...

Weekends are hard work...everyone is wiped out.  Here's Oliver.

Flynn loves to be vacuumed!

We are friends with two little boys (human) that love the cats.  Pirate is their favorite.  They are 6 and 8 years old.  The 8 year old asked if the cats all had their own mailbox for their letters?  We, of course, said no.  He explained to us how they should work, and asks about them every time we see him.  So, Auntie and I made mailboxes yesterday for all the cats.  Here are the ones for my four.  I think they turned out super cute!

Pirate has written a letter to one of the kids guinea pigs.  They were so excited about it!  The letter is hooked on her cage now.  We need to get busy and write the other two now.  This will be a fun summer project for us and a good learning tool for the boys.

That's all that is going on at our house...

Mancat Monday

The mancats are all doing well.  It's been business as usual around our house...

Oliver caught mid yawn!  The boys are always so tired on the weekends!

Rusty and Harrison love to wrestle...we weighed yesterday and Rusty is still a few ounces smaller than Harrison, although it doesn't look like it in this picture!

A video of a wrestling match...

All the boys love these beds in my craft room.  This room is closed unless I am in there, so they love to come in and look around then nap.

A fun game of pokey stick is a great way to end the day...

Although Flynn didn't get a picture this week, he is just fine and as goofy as ever!

Mancat Monday

This post will show that Mancats can be naughty!
Rusty is a swatty kitten, and doesn't mind slapping the others, sometimes for no reason!  Here, Flynn is eating some of Pirate's leftovers, and you can see that Rusty is trying to wait patiently for his turn...

Patience has run out!

Here is a bag of food that was hidden behind a large container...should have been safe from naughty mancats...
Not safe!  No wonder the mancats weren't hungry for dinner!

The mancats got bored one day and pulled down a basket with some of their toys in it...Probably scared them all too much so they couldn't even enjoy the spoils!

Mancats are funny and keep me on my toes!

Mancat Monday

The boys and their cousins had a nice weekend.  Windows were opened for a little while on Saturday morning.  Everyone enjoyed sniffing the fresh air and hearing the birds.
Windows won't be opened for a couple of weeks because we are now in pollen season...everything is turning yellow!
We have three hanging ferns on the front porch.  The birds were waiting for Auntie to put them out this year, and they have been busy!  5 eggs in this fern...

Three eggs in another, and the third fern doesn't have a nest...

Rusty loves the birds too...

He finally caught one!
Rusty is a mighty hunter!

We hope you are enjoying your spring weather and having fun!

Mancat Monday

This post is a Harrison birthday recap.  Some of you may have seen these photos on Facebook already.  Harrison had a great couple of days celebrating...we appreciate all the birthday wishes!
Playtime with his favorite feather toy.  On Saturday, he got a new feather to enjoy!  This feather toy is super fragile and doesn't last very long.

He and his brothers got a new puzzle toy.  Everyone loves fishing treats out!

Birthday greetings from my car :)

A nice nap on his favorite pillow...

Lots of time being held up at the door windows to watch the birds.  There is a wreath on this door, and sometimes they will land on it!  Now, please note, there is a double window about three feet to the left of this door for him to watch from, but he prefers to be held up like this!  Auntie bought some ferns for the front porch and the birds have already started building nests in them.  There is a lot of activity on the front porch!

And of course, his birthday wouldn't be complete without a swim in the tub!

There you have it...a fun and memorable birthday for Harrison!

Happy Birthday Harrison!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Harrison.  He is a silly boy, that still acts skittish at times, but loves to get snuggles.  He is soft like a rabbit and talks all the time.  Harrison is quite bossy, but his cuteness and round muffin head lets him get away with it!  He is a good brother and a friend to all.  I am so thankful to have him in my life.

Mancat Monday

Flynn had a great birthday!  Thank you all for the well wishes...we felt loved!
Flynn started his celebration week off with some special treats.  His color is teal/aqua, so those were the package colors I chose for him.  I have assigned each boy a color, and this helps me in choosing Christmas ornaments, toys, scrapbook items, blankets/beds. clothes, and in this case, treats.  Here is a list of everyone's colors.

Oliver = Orange
Harrison = Red
Flynn = Teal
Rusty = Navy

I set up birthdays in my car, so it helped me remember and celebrate Flynn as well!

Flynn loves to stroll, and it was a beautiful day for a trip around the neighborhood.

Here is a short video of Flynn...he loves to push on this igloo.  Such a goof ball!

The fish hasn't been mentioned in a while, so he was feeling left out.  The boys have a betta fish and they love to watch him swim.  We like to keep a snail in the tank as well to help keep it clean.  Unfortunately, our last snail died a couple of weeks ago.  I was going to buy a new one, but someone offered me a couple for free...score!  They are just babies...can you see them above?

Here they are...eating on a piece of algae wafer...they are tiny fellas!

Well there you have it...the boys are all doing well.  Flynn had a great birthday.  And the fish has two new tank-mates!
