Mancat Monday

The mancats have enjoyed themselves this week.  Auntie got her new Fair Trade Friday box in the mail, and inside was a "beach towel".  Now this towel is more like a tea towel and will probably not absorb any water, but it is very pretty.  Auntie wondered if it would look good as a runner on the dining table, so we tried it.  The boys took right to it, trying to make sure it was straight.  Such big helpers!
Oliver thought it had been placed there for him...this is HIS table after all.

Flynn also checked it out...its very slick!

A group photo...Oliver is near the wall on the hardwood floor...he is a bit hard to see.

Harrison has been in a funny mood these days.  Much more relaxed and confident, which I like to see.

A good swipe under the stove revealed many lost toys, one of which was Harrison's favorite green mesh toy.  He brought it over to this mat and played for a long time!

Later, I was lying in the floor playing and he was fascinated by my phone.  I sat it down, and took a few pictures of him staring at the screen!

We hope you all had a fun week...see you next Monday!

Mancat Monday

The mancats had an exciting weekend.

Flynn started things off with an old fashioned paper roll shred...do any of you have cats that like to shred the TP?

On Saturday, Harrison got the thrill of a lifetime, when he spotted two baby doves in the tree.  They were just sitting on the branches waiting for their parents to come feed them.  One was super close, and the other was a bit lower in the tree.

Here is a rough picture of one baby and the mom.

Eventually, Oliver, Rusty and Harrison were all sitting there watching intently.  This provided hours of entertainment for the boys.  They would leave for a bit, and then go back and look for the birds.  If we didn't see the cats around the house for a while, we knew they were looking out this window.

Flynn could not be bothered to look at the birds.  He spends his weekends sleeping extra hard.  I don't know what he does to get so tired, but he acts like he is wiped out on the weekends!

We hope you all had a fun filled weekend too!

Mancat Monday

Good news, Rusty's spot on his nose turned out to mostly be dirt!  He had a scab over an almost healed scratch, that was attracting litter dust.  Thankful it wasn't anything to really be concerned over, and that the vet didn't laugh at me!  LOL

The vet scrubbed his nose with a gauze pad and some peroxide.  It looked good for a couple of days, but the dirty spot is returning, just like the vet thought.  The sore is healing and putting off some waxy residue that is attracting the dust.

The next morning Rusty decided to be a bit more dramatic and has either ripped a toe nail out or broken it really far down.  I can't find the nail when I mess with his foot.  He isn't limping, the toe isn't swollen, and he is acting fine, so I'm going to wait and see what happens.  Fingers crossed it doesn't get infected.  I checked in on him that night because I had left town, and he was resting comfortably.  They are so sweet when they are sleeping :)

Well, there you have it...Rusty is a wild child!
