Mancat Monday

This post will feature Harrison and Flynn...they had a big week!
It was time for their annual vet visit!  Boo Hiss!  Here's Harrison waiting patiently...

Flynn is both nervous and drugged.  He gets so upset that we tried a new medication to see if it would help him.  He was a bit better, so we will try giving it earlier next time.  We did an hour prior, but maybe 1-1/2 or 2 hours would have been better.

Harrison is a good patient.  Although he gets really floppy and can't support himself on the table!  He made me a bit nervous when the doctor was listening to his heart for what felt like FOREVER!  Finally, he said that when Harry's heart was racing, he could hear a slight murmur, but when he was beating normally, it wasn't there.  He doesn't think we need to be concerned at this point.

Finally, it was Flynn's turn.  So far so good...They didn't have to break out a towel to make a purrito this time, but his exam was noticeably shorter than Harry's!

All was forgiven by the weekend though, and Harrison was ready to play!

Flynn says it is too hot these days...he likes to lie around and air out his parts.  He is back to being a big goof ball!

Maybe next year, we will get the dose and timing right for him.  I don't like seeing him so upset!

We hope you all are having a good summer..thanks for stopping by!

Mancat Monday

Rusty was well celebrated and loved for his birthday.
His last picture as a 1 year old!

His day started with treats...of course all the brothers participated in this activity!  They are so supportive of their brother!  Or maybe just pigs :)

He got a new cardboard scratcher, and took to it right away...
So handsome...

He was given a new feather and string toy in his color of navy.  He loved the feather, but the string is terrifying!  Don't try to wave it around...he will run off!  I think Oliver is rubbing off on Rusty and he is becoming more dramatic!

After playing and having treats, it was time for a nice toe wash...2 year olds know the importance of being clean

Every time I cranked my car, it reminded me it was Rusty's birthday!

Near the end of the day, he was given a small plate of tuna...one of Rusty's favorite treats!

Do you mind?  I'm trying to eat here.  2 year olds are developing some sass!

Finally, with a belly full of fish, it's time for a nap in his favorite spot.  I think he had a good day!

Happy Birthday sweet boy.

Happy Birthday Rusty

Happy 2nd Birthday to Rusty!  It is hard to imagine that you have been with us for 2 years now.  You are learning the ropes and have won over all your brothers.  You love to wrestle with Harrison and Flynn.  I think you have a man-crush on Oliver and swoon when he washes your head!  You are a silly boy who loves to play.  I am thankful that you are asking for more snuggles, especially in the mornings.  I hope you will grow more confident through the years, as you realize your family isn't out to get you!  You have been a blessing in our lives and I pray there will be many more years with you to come.

Mancat Monday

Happy Canada Day to all our Canadian friends!

The boys have had a good couple of weeks, and are looking forward to the holiday and some time off work, oh wait, that's me!  I'm sure they will be thrilled that I am home with them :)
I bought a new bed a couple of months ago, and had it in my bedroom.  No one noticed it, or used it, until I brought it downstairs to the den.  Flynn was the first to try it out.

Rusty thought it was quite nice too...

Rusty helping with my laundry...this is the look I got when I told him, not to get comfortable because I needed to hang these shirts up!

Harrison looks cute in the bed as well.  He was playing with his string when he needed a quick rest.

Rusty still loves this bed in the craft room.  I was able to get a good look at his toe the other day.  The nail is still there, but he broke it back as far as possible!  On a positive note, I won't have to trim that one for a few months!

Oliver hasn't been in the new bed because he still loves this little donut box...

Pokey stick play time!

Silly boy :)

Well, there you have it.  Another fun week at our house.  Hope you are all having a good time this summer...stay cool!
