Mancats are Tired

Although our mom has been home all week for Christmas and New Year, she has been slack about getting online and blogging for us. She did follow us around with the flashy box though. The first few days of her being home was quite nice...she sat and snuggled with us whenever we wanted. She offered us lots of treats and special goodies. She let us outside some when the snow melted and the temps rose. But there is only so much a mancat can stand to be bothered before he is tired!

Tanner found a nice spot near the window for a nap...
Devon and Smokey in loving their new flannel sheets Santa brought them.

We will try to get mom to blog more routinely in the new year...that will be one of our resolutions!

We also want to wish Judi, who is Sammy and Andy's mom, a very special birthday!!

Mancats like Snow...not really

We had a pretty snow on Saturday this weekend. It's the first snow of the season, and it was a real treat! I love snow like this...pretty for a few hours and then gone, with no road problems.
Devon wasn't so sure about it and just wanted to get back inside...
Tanner was a touch braver, but was not happy with the cold paws!
Smokey could have cared less about the snow and just wanted to eat the grass!

This is the back yard a couple of hours later...it's starting to build up some. Lot's of birds on the feeders!
Out a side window...so pretty!

Well, with the snow around and the bitterly cold wind blowing we spent our weekend inside snuggling. Thankfully there were plenty of movies on tv to enjoy!

Christmas Forest

The Saturday before Thanksgiving, we started decorating the house for Christmas. The boys were big helpers!
It seemed a bit strange to have the windows open while we worked, but it was such a beautiful day. Smokey enjoyed the window whiffies!
Tanner thought the leaves on the trees complimented his furs!
Since we had a Halloween forest earlier, we decided to make a Christmas forest this time. The table to was too full for the boys to try and maneuver on though!
Devon making sure the right tree goes in the right room...yep, this tree goes in the study.
You got all the pieces...now just put them together!
Tanner making sure we did an ok job with the assembly of the tree...

Thursday in the Garden

Today we start with some bad news...brace yourselves...you may want to sit down for this one...
The catnip has died! Gasp! Horrors! We will have to get another plant from our friend. It was doing so well, but I think the summer heat really got to it this year.

Smokey is out checking the rest of the garden for casualties...looking good so far...

Devon claimed this as his spot to sit quietly. Devon eventually looked 'wild' so he sat in the stroller, well contained for the rest of the time outside!

Tanner loves to prune the Hibiscus...he is doing a great job!
Smokey is a live-in 'edger'...keep up the good work Smokey!

Mancats on the Mend

The boys are definitely on the mend, and I am thankful! We (Auntie and I) spent the weekend cleaning, and our house now has a lovely, but faint aroma of bleach! All the bedding was washed, and all surfaces wiped down or scrubbed with a light bleach solution. We should be germ-free! I teased with Auntie that we would probably all come down with something because it is too clean!

We also decorated for Halloween on Sunday afternoon...more pictures to come of that project later...

The boys spent their weekend resting and eating and playing and sleeping :) It's so nice to have Mancats on the mend though!!
