Mancat Monday

We are still alive and doing well!  These photos are in no particular order!!
Rusty helping decorate the new tree upstairs.  We broke down and bought another one this year because we have too many ornaments!

Rusty had a dental cleaning and needed 4 teeth pulled.  He was a bit drunk that first night at home and could not keep his tongue in his mouth!

This past Saturday, the Canipe's had their family Christmas party.  Here is me (red shirt), Auntie, with our Dad (grey) and Uncle.

Charles, Teddy and Pumpkin all helped wrap a few presents.

Trying out the portrait mode on my phone with Charles.  So handsome!

Harrison enjoying the soft blanket under the tree upstairs

Rusty helping me with the Christmas cards...

Our family ornament...

Flynn got a vacuum cleaner since he enjoys being vacuumed!

Charles has a black cat in a yellow sweater.  His color is yellow and that can be challenging for Christmas.  Pumpkin tried watermelon for the first time this year, so she has an ornament to remember that event.

The tree in the breakfast nook

Black tree in the dining room

Tree in the study.  If you are keeping count, that makes 5 trees!

The panthers have been wiped out from all the decorating...front to back is Harrison, Flynn and Charles

Pumpkin trying out a warm hat and scarf

Rusty helping us decorate...he found a soft tree skirt and decided to rest for a while

Charles loves Pumpkin's grasshoppers.  He has eaten a few as well!

Pumpkin checking out the tree...

We have a waterfowl rescue in the state and they put out this ornament.  I had to buy it to remember my Smokey, who was known as Goose.

At Thanksgiving, Auntie, mom, dad, and I picked up pecans in yard.  Mom and Dad have 4 pecan trees and they produced pretty well this year.  I think we collected about 15 gallons that afternoon.

Well, there you have it.  We are doing well and having many adventures.  Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Mancat Monday

It's been a while since I've been on here, but I am back home now, and plan to stay for a long while!  This has been a crazy year for traveling, and while it is fun, I think I'm done for now.  Looking forward to some time at home!
The panthers were happy I was home...they were right ready for their bedtime treats.  L-R Harrison, Oliver, and Flynn
Auntie put up the trees and had them all fluffed, so we started decorating for Christmas...Oliver enjoys helping...
Flynn makes sure we put out the best ornaments!

Rusty has stolen an ornament already, but that's okay, we put the soft ones on the low branches for them.  They are all working hard to remember that we look with our eyes and not our mouths. This is a tough rule!
Flynn thankful a box was finally empty for him...

Our cousin gave us a pet stroller...Lenny is looking forward to going for a ride!

Black Friday is the time we stock up on cat litter because with my discount, it is basically half-price.  We use 60-70, 42 pound bags of litter a year...thankful we have a place to store it.
The rest...We still had some from last year, so we only had to buy about 50 this year.

Rusty loves the new stroller too...

Flynn watching me eat lunch...he had just been vacuumed so I was admiring his beauty.  One of the friends we stayed with in Japan is in town now, and she was coming over to meet the boys.

Everyone is doing better with Lenny.  We have a couple of episodes where someone looks at him a day, but they are less intense and becoming less frequent.  They can all get along, as you can see here, we don't know what causes the flair ups.

Lenny is doing well with his pottying too, now that we have a litter box in the pantry.
Rusty is cooking on the heated bed...he is going to bed earlier and earlier at night.  Normally, he would curl up about 8:30, but now it could be as early at 7!

Flynn enjoying a jiggle on the washing machine!  He is such a goof!

Well, there you have it.  Tomorrow, we will continue with the Alaska trip...Denali National Park.

Mancat Monday

We hope all of our American friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Auntie and I went home to mom and dads for a couple of days and ate entirely too much!  When we returned, it was time to start decorating for Christmas.  The boys were excited to help.
Flynn making sure Auntie gets all the pieces for the black tree out of the box.  Normally, we would have put this one up at Halloween, but we were not in the mood this year!
Flynn checking out the boxes containing the ornaments...don't worry Flynn, you have quite a few.

Rusty doesn't remember decorating being this tiring last year.  You are just getting older buddy...don't worry, it happens to us all :)

Flynn - I don't see any of my ornaments in this lid...are you sure I have some?

Woah, there's a tree in the house!

Oliver checking out some of the other decorations that need to go out...

Flynn helping with another tree...we put up four.

Oliver - this box is still full...

Oliver - My work is done, I'm going to nap now...

Rusty isn't sure of this big mess.

The boys are doing surprisingly well around the trees so far.  We have reminded them, mainly Oliver, a few times to keep your mouth closed.  Rusty has stretched up in the tree a couple of times, but did not try to climb.  We have quite a few ornaments with bells on them, so we can hear the trees shaking :)  Also, we put plenty of soft things along the bottom, so they can play with them if they want.  Don't worry that you didn't see Harrison, he was upstairs sleeping the whole day!

When do you decorate?  Do you prefer a live tree or an artificial one?
