We have a finch that always builds a nest in our ferns hanging on the front porch. This nest is last years, but this year, she laid 4 eggs. Only three hatched though...
The hybiscus, before it died over the winter. Mom has a new one now and it is the same color...The birds love to sit in it, as it is right under their feeders.
We aren't being allowed out at the moment. The spring/summer allergens are here and so Smokey can't be around them. Also Auntie read about an increase in a disease carried by ticks, and how this year is supposed to be a bad tick year in our area, so we don't want to risk getting sick. We are ok with that...being in the cool air is just fine :)
For more gardening kitties check out The Society of Feline Gardeners.
Gerber daisy's are always so pretty...they are Auntie's favorites. We love how they come back every year, which means less money spent on flowers and more left over for toys!

Your garden looks like it is doing great! Yep, some nasty stuff outside fur sure!
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful flowers in your garden; we're looking forward to seeing updated photos! :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely garden. Pretty flowers. We know about the allergies!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is lovely. I love having baby finches around, but I haven't spotted the nest this year, if they built one in my yard. Herman thanks you for coming to his party. THoE stands for Thundering Herd of Elephants, which is what happens when kitties run around at top speed, thudding their feet on the floor.
ReplyDeleteThose are great garden pictures you have - and so cool that you have the birds too!
ReplyDeleteMe and Charlie love your new blog heading/headline!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations with being part of this very grand Society of Feline Gardeners. From the evidence of the pics, your mum has a flair for gardening and keeping the wildlife happy! The bird's nest is fantastic and the flowers are fab.
Oh it's best to stay in away from those horrible ticks!!
Take care

ReplyDeleteThose are pretty flowers in your garden!! And we're glad you're staying inside for now...safe and sound!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you are in the club! We love your flowers. Mom just loves daisies too!
ReplyDeleteWe're not gardners (heh - Mom, YOU'RE no gardner, is more like it!) But you have pretty pictures of the flowers out there. Make sure you get some advantix (that protects against yucky ticks, doesn't it!) before you go out there!
ReplyDelete~Nico & JayJay :)
We sure love all the pretty flowers!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the club! Dante belongs to it, too. What lovely flowers -- I have never seen a pink daisy before -- love it! And aren't you lucky to have a birdie who comes back to nest every year.
ReplyDeleteDevon is on the LOLSpot today. Most people so far thinks he's pretty funny.
Concats on your club membership! We love gardens even though we can't go out in them...our mewmie says most of our garden is plastic, hahameow!
