Ready for the Royal Wedding

Everyone was excited last night to prepare for the Royal Wedding taking place this morning. Devon was still in complete and utter shock that he was not invited as the ring bearer. He does have experience after all, and he believes he is royalty, what more could they ask for?
Devon shows off his fancy wedding collar and enjoys walking around the house in it...

Tanner wasn't too sure, but he was fine with it once he got on his scratcher.
Sophie couldn't sit still...afterall, this is a collar for a boy!
Smokey was the most freaked out about the collar...he is more of a commoner than Devon is, so this was not something he enjoyed.

Pirate did ok with it...he is a pretty happy-go-lucky kind of cat and just goes with the flow...

What did you do to celebrate this occasion? We thought the ceremony was beautiful and the dress was just gorgeous! Here's to the happy couple!

Two on Tuesday

This is also a Flashback to Fostering photo, as it was taken several years ago when we had kittens. Tanner loved the foster kittens...he became their protector and momma. He would even let kittens nurse on his fur. Such a sweet boy!
Tanner snuggling with a kitten...love this photo.

Mancats love a Box

The mancats had a great weekend...the weather was lovely, we spent a lot of time snuggling and playing, and our parents and granny came for a visit on Sunday for Easter. Did I get any photos? Of course not! Not sure what I was thinking, I suppose I wasn't. Anyway, here are some older ones from earlier in the month...Mancats in a box!
Tanner loved laying in this box...he had plenty of room!

Devon loved all the paper that was in it, and would tear it to bits...

We hope you all had a lovely weekend...and enjoyed the extra day off work, if you got one on Friday.

Thursday in the Garden

We are dedicating this post to Eric and Flynn's mom. We have planted lots of purrs and prayers for her...we will nurture and watch those prayers grow into hope, comfort and healing for her. Two weekends ago, mom and Auntie spent all day in the garden digging up a new patch for vegetables. They made a comment about working like dogs, but we don't understand this concept, since we are cats. I hope they aren't letting dogs in our yard!

Here is the new patch they made...then planted tomatoes and onions...

Yellow bell pepper...

Eggplant...and not pictured are the red bell pepper, zucchini, and basil.

The pansies are still thriving and looking pretty....

Senior Mancats Love Neko Fly

Tanner and Smokey got a Neko fly to share for their birthdays, since it was a bit pricey. They got the Kragonfly and the Kittycada attachments. So far, we have only tried the Kragonfly, but it is a BIG hit! Smokey shows that even senior mancats are still willing to play with Neko Fly!
Waiting for it to swing back by...paw at the ready...
Got it! You are mine Kragonfly...I will eat you for dinner!

PS - No Kragonflies were harmed in the making of this post. It lived to fly another day :)

Mancats Chew Plastic

I don't know about your mancats, but Devon and Tanner love to chew and/or lick plastic. We try to be careful and keep things put away, but we know one of them will let us know if something has been missed! Tanner's birthday toy came wrapped in plastic...I let him have fun for a few minutes before I cleaned it up. I don't know what the draw is to the plastic, but he seems to enjoy it a great deal!

Here's Tanner in action...enjoy!

Happy 9th Birthday Tanner

Hi all...Tanner here and today is my 9th birthday!! I'm so glad you all came by to celebrate with me. We want to thank Ann at Zoolatry for the beautiful graphic above!! Mom was pretty sneaky about my gift this year...she made me stare at the box for a few weeks before we finally opened it. I was very pleased to see the box contained a NEW X SCRATCHER!! I love it...thanks mom! Claiming it for my very own...this one seems taller than the one we had before.

Sharpening my claws and I am ready to P-A-R-T-Y!! Thank you all for coming by...enjoy the food and fellowship!

Of course there is ham...we know that is a crowd favorite around here!
Roasted chicken...yum
Chocolate cake...my absolute favorite!
No party would be complete with a niptini or two...and look it's green...my favorite color!

There's also plenty of dried catnip, toys and treats to go around...Stay as long as you want...we'll party like there's no tomorrow!

Tempting Tuesday

Sitting in a box is fun, but nothing beats shredding the paper inside. Mom loved this because the flying bits of paper stayed handily in the box! Devon is the paper shredder in our family...does anyone like to do that in yours?

You may recall that his box had been sitting by the door for some time, well, Tanner opened his gift on Sunday, so he would have time to play with it, so mom would be able to get pictures and post them properly on his birthday. Come back Thursday to see what it is!
