Tasty Thursday

Tanner here and today's post is about a dream of mine...one day I'll achieve my dream...You see we have these pesky pigeons that sit on the roof of our house and dance around. They torment me, day and night. They also hang out in our yard and eat all the bird seed...they are pigs, at least that's what Auntie calls them.
Can you see them up on the roof? This was the other week, I was enjoying some spring weather with mom and they were up there dancing and cooing at me the whole time. Tormenting me, so I couldn't focus on breathing in the fresh air like I wanted.
I saw them and dared them to come down so I could eat one for dinner. One day...I'll have a pigeon for dinner...that is my dream!

PS - Can anyone give any pointers on hunting? Or the proper way to prepare a pigeon for dinner...would mom need to roast it in the crock pot? I'm not sure I'd like something raw.

  6. A pigeon is pretty big and it would and would be really hard to get one of those. Someone would have to defeather the poor thing. We think you should just give the pigeon a good chase. Too much trouble to catch it and prepare it for dinner.

  11. I don't know anything about hunting since I live Inside and don't have toenails. . . but AB Christine's home-cat Oreo once killed a cardinal and it made her sad. Try to find an ugly birdie for the human's sake. :)

  12. We have gotten the occasional Dove...we were AMAZED how many feathers a Dove has! We filled up the whole Catio. Mommy was very excited about that. No tips on the cooking; we just left a few bits & pieces. Mommy was excited about that, too.

  14. Maybe if you can get one on the ground you can catch it. They kind of waddle when they walk.
