The boys also get canned food every evening with Lysine mixed in with it. Everyone enjoys canned food time and they usually start swarming when it's time for it to be served. This picture shows counterclockwise from Tanner, - Smokey, Mojo and Devon enjoying their nightly canned food treat.

Tasty Thursday
This picture was taken a couple of years ago, but it shows all of the Four Crazy Cats enjoying some dinner. We used to free feed dry food, until Tanner chunked up to an unacceptable weight. Now Tanner gets rationed, and Smokey and Devon can eat upstairs in the skinny cat cage. Tanner's diet lifestyle change is going well. The last weight check showed him at 17.4 lbs. We would like to get down to at least 16 lbs, but 15 would be preferrable.

It's like a pinwheel of kitties!
ReplyDeleteMmm, yum!
ReplyDeleteTanner's a big boy, too. I can see why you no longer free-feed dry--I don't either.
Chunky Derry is my kibble-head, so I've got the boys down to about 1/8 to 3/16 cup dry per day, the rest canned. But Derry has to be very hungry to touch wet food. Annie hardly ever touches dry, which might be why, in part, it's so hard to get and keep weight on her (since the canned is mostly water).
I've been giving the crew lysine for a few years now too!
There's nothing like feeding time at the zoo...MOL.
Way to go on the weight loss, Tanner!
ReplyDeleteAwww!
ReplyDeleteGo Tanner! You can do it!!!
:-)
And lovely to see all the four crazy cats enjoying their meals! Yum, yum!
My little one is on pate that I have to double whisk so she'd be able to just lick the stuff up, bless!
Take care you gorgeous four crazy cats!
x
That is a great picture of all 4 eating together. And that is great that Tanner's lifestyle change is working!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Tanner. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYAY, Tanner!!!!!!!! Way to go, dude....keep up the good work. xxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteFeeding time is our favorite time of day!
ReplyDeleteWe hope Tanners diet...er, we mean lifestyle change continues to go well! Our mom doesn't free-fed us because she's so afraid we'll get fat....
ReplyDeleteAwwww...what a sweet picture of your babies. That's great about Tanner's weightloss. I wish I could get a certain Miss Someone to lose a little weight.
ReplyDeleteGee, that looks familiar...except we be five!
ReplyDeleteYou are all eating so nicely out of your separate dishes. At least you don't get a big lump of Eric eating your food.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Tanner! We have to separate our kitties at dinner time ... each seems more interested in the other's food than their own...
ReplyDeleteThat is some well-behaved eating.
ReplyDeleteNoming- the great friend maker!
ReplyDeleteBob: shhhh, don't give mom any ideas, Tanner. The V E T told mom I was too fat......
ReplyDeleteSigh, we all had to diet cuz of Disco ballooning up to 16#...he's lost a pound but has 3 more to go! Woe is Us!
