Tasty Teething Thursday

Ollie was given a new scratching toy...he loves playing with it.  He also enjoys chewing on it and eating the cardboard!  The toy is the Petstages Fold Away Scratching Tunnel.

This is the standard photo from Amazon...look how pretty, and how it stands up!
Ollie and Tanner playing...Tanner laying inside the tunnel...good thing otherwise, the tunnel will fold up when kittens jump at it!
Another playing shot...love those chicken legs!
This was our toy after a couple of hours...the corner is chewed.  We have now had this toy for a month, and all corners are missing.  A lot of the pretty paper has been removed and destroyed, and the tunnel spends most of its time laying flat on the ground!  The boys love it though!

Question:  Do you have a cardboard eater in your house?  I'm hoping this is a phase, maybe teething, and we'll grow out of all this chewing!

Ollie asks...Do you think I'm teething?

We want to give a shout of praise and thanks to Ann at Zoolatry for creating our new header and background!

  1. we LOVE your new header

mom said she is trying to remember how old Ollie is now. about 6-7 months they start to lose their baby teeth, so yep, that could be part of the chewing. or he could just be a cardboard chewer. we don't have any here, but Mo likes to nom the occasional piece of mail :)

we like the "idea" of the tunnel but suspect it wouldn't withstand the kitten shenanigans around here

  2. Our cardboard scratchers just get scratched! And while no one will ever mistake them for new (except for when they first arrive here), they are still relatively presentable, with no chew marks or extreme destruction.

We're too polite to our scratchers!

  4. Your new header is lovely. Eric and Flynn's toys were kept in a cardboard box and when they were teething they kept chewing on it and I often found baby teeth in or around it. I still have the toys in the same box 13 years later! I just loved seeing those tiny tooth marks.

  5. What a fun scratcher! We love scratching cardboard, but we don't eat it. Wally likes to chew plastic...that's the only thing that gets chewed around here other than food. :)

  6. That's a fabulous scratcher! I bought the boys a Christmas tree one for a gift, but it was a fail with them.

Nicki will "eat" cardboard boxes, though, and he's never outgrown it. It's like the cardboard somehow offends him and he has to get rid of it. LOL.

  9. The scratcher tunnel looks great. I don't have any cardboard eaters here, but they will scratch the cardboard to bits.
