Fevvers Everywhere

Well, we apologize for our slack mom, the lack of posts lately...we will try to get more material from the camera and onto the blog!  For today, we will tempt you all with some lovely fevvers our mom found at the zoo the other week...enjoy!

Here is a lovely pink fevver, known as a flamingo...we think it is funny how they stand on one leg and sleep with their heads on their backs!  It seems rather uncomfortable, and we are not sure why they don't curl up in a ball to sleep!

These are two new birds at the zoo...they are a part of the pigeon family...

A lovely goose, although it is not as pretty as Smokey aka Goose.

Happy Gotcha Day Smokey

Happy Gotcha Day to my boy Smokey.  (Thank you CB for reminding me :D)

Smokey has been living with me for 16 years now...I am so blessed to have him.  He has matured and aged with grace and dignity.  He is one of the best behaved cats in the house.  He loves to snuggle and give hugs.

He enjoys life and will have a wild streak about him on occassion...he can still be a frisky kitten when he wants to be...we all love Smokey!

The Paper Trail

The mancats have been enjoying this paper trail for a couple of weeks now...it came in the big box, which held two new X scratchers.  Devon, in particular, loves to shred paper...he's been working hard on this piece.  Tanner and the other mancats enjoy laying on it, playing with their toys in it, and sleeping with it.  Does this offically make us a crazy cat house when we'll leave trash in the floor for weeks on end, just for the enjoyment of the cats?  No, don't answer that!  LOL

Thursday in the Garden

It's been a while since we have done a garden post, but things are growing and changing all the time!

 Remember this plant that Tanner was so embarrassed about in the winter?  It was nothing but a dried up stick.  We were not sure if it would come back, but...

 Look at it now!!  We have even seen a few blooms on it!!  We love things that will return and not have to be purchased again!

 On the other side of those bird feeders we have a few more plants.  These pansies grew by themselves...we did not plant them.  Maybe some bird provided a seed for us :)

We also have a sunflower growing...that is very exciting!

Now if we can keep our cute visitor from destroying the plants we'll be set!
