Orijen Product Review

Mr Chewy contacted us about reviewing a food called Orijen. Our mom was very curious about this food, and decided to let us give it a try. Please note, we were given a free bag of food from Mr Chewy in return for our review. The views of this product are our own though.
We tried the Orijen Cat and Kitten Dry Food.  Upon opening the bag, we were very excited about the new smells.  We all enjoyed the food at first inspection, however, as is normally in case in our house, once the newness wears off, this was not a preferred food.  We will still eat it, but not as ravenously as we did the first time we saw it.

Our mom did some research on the company, and also read the materials provided by Mr Chewy.  One of her favorite features of the food is that "Champion PetFoods closely works with local farmers, fishermen, food processing innovators, and the scientific community to produce the highest quality products.  Arriving fresh from the region each day, the meat is never frozen and never exposed to heat or chemicals."  Shopping and buying locally is something mom is quite fond of, so this was a plus to her about the Orijen food.

Since we weren't overly fond of the food, we asked around to some of our friends to see if they liked this food, or had tried it.  One friends cat LOVES the Fish formula, and can't get enough of it!

Another friends cat enjoyed her sample pack we provided her and gobbled it right up.

For our review, the Four Crazy Cats are giving Two paws out of four, since we did not continue to choose this bowl over our other food.

Our Mom gives it 1-1/2 thumbs up...deducting half a thumb for not pleasing the cats all the time.  Great job on the company aspects and the concepts.

If you would like to try this food for yourself, check out Mr Chewy's Website.

  1. Our cats usually prefer the crappy corn gluten filler food over better food. I wonder if the not so good for you food is "sprayed" with a good smelling substance? Since we have a tubster that cannot afford to gain... we feed Organix now cuz none over-eat that brand. Some of the cheap food gets gobbled up and then barfed back up! LOL Gotta love them cats!
Cheap food makes good hen feed cuz of all the grains :) ???

  2. Looks like a great product - I hope they are truly an ethical company! Glad the kitties liked it at first - the same happens with Charlie! He'll love a new brand of food only to get bored with the novelty and revert to his previous type of food!

    Take care

  3. Interesting to read your review about Orijen.
I mostly eat RC Maine Coon or RC sterilised and sometimes Eucanuba and sometimes Orijen :)
Mom usually mix different kinds of dryfood so I don´t get tired of the taste´s.
I mean who want´s to eat chicken for a whole year ??

  4. We like your honest review. We haven't tried this food yet but we think it would be good because of the quality and it is grain free.

We love comments...meows and purrs please!
