Thursday in the Garden

We will do a flash back garden post as this was our garden the day after Christmas. We had a beautiful snow! For those of you in the great white north, this may not be such a big deal, but for us in the southern states it is a rarity. Especially a fluffy snow without ice!
This is the butterfly bush and you can see the low fence around our vegetable garden.
This is from the knock-out rose bush in the front yard...
We had many birds eating this day...I took this through the window...the cats loved seeing everyone out eating.
I love when the tree branches are covered in snow...so pretty!

The doves were just chilling out on the fence...
Well, there you have it...a quick view of our winter garden...more photos next week.

  5. We agree...it is very pretty especially as seen from a warm, cozy spot!! We are, however, from the north (just not the northern part of the U.S. - we are in northern Europe) so this is all we have been looking at for the last month and a half and we must say that we are really looking forward to the colour GREEN again!! 8. Your garden looked very pretty! We like when the snow is fresh like that. But then it gets gray and dirty...that't the kind of snow we don't like!!

  9. What gorgeous photos! Yes, winter has it's own kind of beauty. Unfortunately, if it lasts too long, you just don't care about that anymore -- you just want it to go away.

    Love the birdies!

  11. What a pretty winter garden! For practical reasons, I prefer mine. Kitties prefer warm sun and cool green grass!

Good of you to leave food out for the birdies - they sure need looking after in that cold.

  14. Wow...that really is beautiful! We have seen a lot of snow here lately but haven't had the sun shining through so only the woofie and hubby go outside for any length of time. With a view like that I think I'd be much more willing to head outdoors!
