Mancat Monday - a Video

Devon was attacking this bag of birdseed in the pantry. We discovered later that it was full of moths! The bag is now outside, although we are still finding moths in the pantry. It is a source of great entertainment for the boys. Cousin Sophie peeks in for a bit to see what is happening.

  1. haha! I do that too...as soon as I know that Mom is filming me or taking a picture of me, I do something dumb just to annoy her...usually, I do the washing up move. Good job buddy!! Purrs, Lautrec

  7. Ugh, I had the exact same thing happen with birdseed!

I also had it happen with a huge bag of cat kibble which I bought from the vet and had to toss out because I discovered it was alive with moths...makes me cringe to think of it now! Those little moths were a pain in the neck and got into everything in my pantry; rice, crackers etc. Now I keep all of my dry goods in air tight containers!

  8. Wow Devon, it is great that you let everyone know that there were moths in the bag! Too bad they didn't get it out before some escaped though!

  10. A bag of moths sounds like the most fun ever - for cats! Our mom says those pantry moths are Indian Meal Moths and they are a real pain to get rid of. And yes, they like birdseed - although the birds don't seem to mind, she does! She tries to keep anything they like a lot (flour, grains etc.) in glass jars. They also sell traps for them but she has never used them.
