Toy Review

This is a favorite toy at our house. Tanner got this for his birthday one year, and loves it. It looks a bit silly, but it squeaks when it moves or bounces. The string is elastic, so it is very springy, and the ribbons at the bottom just drive the boys crazy!

I keep it put away when we aren't playing with it because Tanner likes to chew the strings until they break or he eats them!

I find that putting toys out of sight is a good way to spark new interest in old toys. How do you keep the spark alive with your cats and their toys?

  1. It looks very tantalizing! Dante would love that -- he adores anything with ribbons. He's probably chew them up, too.

With my cats, they keep losing their toys under furniture, so once we finally find them -- they're like new again!

  2. Oh wow! That looks like a great toy.
We like the Cat Dancer, but Mom has to be on one end of it, this one she would like!!

  3. Wow, is that an awesome toy! Our mom keeps our toys in a basket under the endtable and when she sees us sniffing around she'll grab some and just fling them into the middle of the livingroom. Cricket has taken a fancy to the 'Nippy Narwhal and the little 'nip mice.

  4. Hiding them is a good idea, even with kids. Rosie would eat the ribbons.

  5. Zoey has a toy like this....a mouse on the end of a strechy string...and she loves it!!! So much so that she's torn the mouse off several times and mom has had to replace it!!!

  6. We are both getting older, so don't play with toys very much. In fact, we would like to invite you to our blog on Saturday as it will be Sammy's 12th birthday.

  7. I would like to attack that toy. I would grab the ribbons and chew the fev-vers on it's head.

  8. Ugh. I keep the toys put away, but I can barely get Lucy to play anymore. I'm really in the market for a toy like this one that I can put out and the cats will hopefully play with it and I don't have to be too involved. This looks like a good toy.

  10. That toy looks like it's very fun and just asking for its ribbons to be chewed on!

  11. Very true, when mummy brings our lost toys out from under the sofa, it's like they're new!!!

  12. That is exactly the kind of toy my kitties would love. And we do the same thing - put stuff away that can get wrecked by them. And it does help to keep them interested - well that and rotating out the stuff they are bored with and replacing it with other stuff in their toy box.
