Another fun week for the boys...everyone is doing great.
Many of you know that Pumpkin has been unwilling to eat on her own for several months now. I syringe feed her a few times a day. The vet recommended I use low sodium chicken broth in her slurry and add dandelion greens to it. So now, I make chicken stock from scratch, and freeze her slurry mixture. Dandelion greens aren't in season, or available, at all grocery stores right now, so she is having mustard greens and cilantro. I boiled the chicken with carrots, the carrot tops and parsley. She is a spoiled girl! It seems to be helping though because she is gaining weight!
Rusty needed a new vantage point to see the craziness!
Auntie and I also cooked a large batch of Italian Pinto Beans this weekend. Teddy had never helped sort beans before and he loved it! He loves anything that makes noise.
Flynn also helped some...
Rusty was also curious about all these beans on the counter. We doubled the recipe and needed 12 cups of dried beans. There's nothing I love more than the smell of pintos cooking on the stove! Growing up, we heated our house with a large wood stove in the basement. Mom would put a pot of beans down there to cook all day and the whole house smelled yummy!
A few of the cousin cats are not in control of their peeing and see to prefer my craft room and bedroom to a litter box! This is unacceptable, so I installed a gate to keep them out.
Flynn spends his days sleeping downstairs...
Charles joined him on this day...Charles weighs just over 10 pounds now, and Flynn is almost 20.
Pumpkin has some new succulents for her tank. Giving them time to adjust before putting them in their cute pots I bought!
I promise Harrison is also doing well, he is just harder to photograph sometimes!
Anytime you folks from the North would like your cold air back, please come and get it, we are done!
